Gabrielle Guy is a freelance graphic designer based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has designed numerous artist monographs and photobooks, notably for Guy Tillim, Claudette Schreuders, Steven Cohen, Youssef Nabil, Jo Ractliffe, Zander Blom, Nicholas Hlobo and Zanele Muholi. Often working closely with Stevenson gallery, she designs their artist catalogues, and has designed and continues to manage their corporate identity. In 2005 she worked on the companion publication for the exhibition Picasso and Africa (2005) with Marilyn Martin, a collaboration between Musée Picasso, Iziko South African National Gallery and Standard Bank. She has also collaborated on projects with photographer Stan Engelbrecht, designing Bicycle Portraits (2012). She is a former art director of Art South Africa magazine (under the editorship of Sean O’Toole).
